Let me first start by saying I have not been to a Tripp's in 100 years . I just happened to be in the area. I was hungry and thought I would give it a try. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. Walked in and my companion and I were quickly seated. Our server Hailey was AMAZING ( Hailey...Thanks for being so GREAT!) Hailey was so very accommodating, attentive, and kind. If I should ever return, I will certainly request her. I got the calamari and a Caesar side salad. Have never had calamari prepared the way Tripp's prepares it, but it was quite delish. The servings for both were plentiful. I had enough to take home for later.
Just a side note that I need to mention. Thank you to the hostess for your attention to detail. You noticed that I had on black and provided me with a black napkin.
I truly appreciate that ...you all have been trained well. -

Unfortunately, I remember the old Tripp's when the food was amazing. If you have this to compare it to, then you will be disappointed. If you don't know, then you will be fine.
They have been around so long that I don't think they've noticed that things are getting a little dated. There is nothing modern about any aspect of this restaurant.
The food is still pretty good. The crab cakes have always been my favorite, and they are still tasty.
The staff is nice, and the bar area is cool - very fancy 90's vibe.
Overall, a good place to grab a bite. They serve a little later than most restaurants in this are. -

**Don't go here Again***
Ok food nothing spectacular, so not going say anything except Salty. Kids didn't eat theirs (blackened Chicken Alfredo and Kids Cheese Burger), Mrs left her salad, even I didn't finish my Creole Tilapia and Shrimp.
Would have been 3*, but we had a party of 16 which they refused to accommodate (it wasn't busy), we had to sit in two separate tables, in an area large enough for our group.
However when the bill arrived, we became a group again so they the charged the 18% group tip.
There is so many good places to visit in this area, don't go here! -

I visited Tripps with a group of friends for dinner. I ordered the Louisiana Creole Tilapia and Shrimp served on a bed of rice and mixed veggies. The tilapia was nice and flaky. Both the tilapia and shrimp were quite tasty! My only complaint was that the creole sauce wasn't spicy at all as suggested by the menu, but it still paired well with the entree.

Tripp's was delicious and service was great. The steak was cooked perfectly and my son loved the shrimp and scallop Alfredo. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The best part is how reasonable they are for the quality of food and taste.
